The aim of the programme, which is prepared in cooperation with BÄ°DEB-TÜBÄ°TAK and TWAS-UNESCO, is to advance Turkey's international cooperation in the field of science and technology by providing financial support to international researchers from developing countries who are currently enrolled in a PhD programme abroad in natural and related applied sciences or who have received their PhD.

Within the scope of this programme, 2216B - TUBITAK-TWAS PhD and Postdoctoral Research Scholarship was awarded to Melat Solomon Cherenet, PhD student from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, for his project titled ‘The Effect of Y*** and H*** Proteins Covering the Surface of Encapsulin on the Growth and Pathogen Resistance of T***** Plant (S****** l***********)’. Prof. Dr. Ali Osman BELDÜZ, who arrived at our University on 29/01/2025 to carry out the project in the Molecular Biology research laboratory of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science of our University for 12 months and started to work.
