A Great Honor for Our University: 10 International Awards for Our Academics
Our faculty members Prof. Dr. Ahmet Can ALTUNIŞIK and Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatih Yesevi OKUR achieved remarkable success at the Innovation Week IWA 2025, held online from September 8–12, 2025. Their invention, titled “Deep Learning Based Anomaly Detection System for Vibration-Based Structural Health Monitoring,” earned them 8 Gold Medals, 1 Scientific Grand Prize, and the prestigious title of “Master of Innovation.”
Outstanding International Achievement
Organized by OFEED (Organization for the Promotion of Innovation and Invention Development), Innovation Week IWA 2025 is a prestigious event attracting hundreds of innovative projects from around the world. Our academics’ project stood out in the field of structural health monitoring by integrating artificial intelligence and deep learning into an innovative system, following a multi-stage evaluation by the international jury.

They were also recognized by the international jury with the “Master of Innovation” title and Scientific Grand Prize certificate.
Previous Gold Medal in China
Earlier, from August 22–24, 2025, the same project won a Gold Medal at the 11th International Exhibition of Inventions held in Guangzhou, China, demonstrating its continued international success.
