The KTU Fırtına Creatiny Team has won the TEKNOFEST Hyperloop Development Competition for the third consecutive year. The team received its championship award from President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN during a ceremony held as part of TEKNOFEST Southeast.

Held at the TÜBÄ°TAK Gebze Campus from August 31 to September 6, 2026, the Hyperloop Development Competition was organized by the TÜBÄ°TAK Rail Transport Technologies Institute (RUTE). Following its victories in the previous two years, Fırtına Creatiny once again finished first, securing its third consecutive Turkish championship. The team also took second place in the “Defined Problem Solving Category.”

Championship Award Presented by President ErdoÄŸan

The award ceremony took place at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport as part of TEKNOFEST Southeast, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation).

During the ceremony, President Recep Tayyip ERDOÄžAN presented the championship award to the KTU Fırtına Creatiny Team. Addressing the participants, President ERDOÄžAN highlighted the achievements of young people in science and technology and said, “Once again, we proudly see the level Türkiye has reached in technology and the outstanding work produced by the TEKNOFEST generation. I congratulate all our young people who have showcased their projects and turned their dreams into reality at TEKNOFEST Southeast. The future will bear the mark of the TEKNOFEST generation.”

Rector Çuvalcı Congratulates the Champion Team

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, congratulated the Fırtına Creatiny Team on its third consecutive championship, noting the pride the students have brought to both KTU and Trabzon. Reflecting on TEKNOFEST Southeast, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, emphasized the key role young people play in Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative. He also highlighted KTU’s commitment to supporting student technology teams through strong infrastructure and modern workshops where students can turn their ideas into projects.

A 19-Member Team Behind the Championship

The Fırtına Creatiny Team brought together 19 KTU students: Halil Bahadır DÄ°KÄ°CÄ°, Sude Naz ATICI, Sena KESKÄ°N, Dilek ALTIN, Elif BOZKURT, DoÄŸukan ULUDAÄž, Muhammadamin QODÄ°ROV, Ahsen BÜLBÜL, Sedanur ÅžEKER, BaÅŸar YİĞİT, Hilal Esma YILMAZ, Senanur ERKÄ°T, Ä°layda ATÄ°K, Semiha UZUN, Yağız ARAS, Metehan AKBULUT, Fazıl Berat ÇAT, Elif Sena PÄ°RAS, and Yasin YILDIZ.
