Our students successfully represented our University with top rankings and special awards in the Model Satellite, Jet Engine Design, and Electronic Warfare competitions held as part of TEKNOFEST.

Student teams carrying out their activities under our University’s Technology Competitions Office received two national rankings and two special awards for their projects developed across different fields of engineering.

Two National Rankings in the Model Satellite Competition

The Gökçe and Maksat 5A teams, operating under the KTU Space Club, competed in the TEKNOFEST Model Satellite Competition. Gökçe Team placed third in Türkiye, while Maksat 5A Team finished fourth.

Bringing together students from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, the third-place Gökçe Team included Dilan SÜNGÜ, Barış KÜÇÜK, Cemre GÖKÇE, AyÅŸenur AKKAYA, Kübra DERELÄ°, and Serkut ÅžIK.

Maksat 5A Team, which placed fourth, brought together students from Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The team members were Rıfat KIZILKUYU, Furkan Ä°NCE, Rabia ASLAN, Mustafa Melih GÜNGÖR, Cennet NISLU, and Özgü Nisa BABACAN.

Most Original Design Award in the Jet Engine Design Competition

The team of Mechanical Engineering students from the SARGE Club, operating under our University’s Technology Competitions Office, received the “Most Original Design Award” in the Jet Engine Design Competition. Under the supervision of Res. Asst. Kadir Ä°brahim ERTÜRK, the team was led by team captain Muhammed DEMÄ°R and included Umut ÅžAHÄ°NBAÅž, Taha Yasin GÜRBULAK, OÄŸuzhan GÜNER, Taha GÄ°RGÄ°N, and Yalçın Alp KÖÅžKER.

Best Team Spirit Award in the Electronic Warfare Competition

The team consisting of students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at our University’s Of Faculty of Technology received the “Best Team Spirit Award” in the final of the TEKNOFEST Electronic Warfare Competition. Under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer KASAR, the team consisted of Hayrunnisa UMUTLU, AyÅŸenur NALDÖÄžEN, Semanur CAN, Melek YOLCU, Furkan Bülent ÇIKRIKÇI, Muhammed Nur ZERZUR, and Mert MERDAMERT.
