Dear students,

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Karadeniz Technical University comprises seven different disciplines: Nutrition and Dietetics, Midwifery, Exercise and Sports Sciences, Child Development, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, and Health Management.

Our faculty, which began undergraduate education in the 2012-2013 academic year, admitted its first students to the Department of Nursing. Additionally, the Department of Nursing subsequently activated master's and doctoral programs, thus initiating graduate education. Since the 2015-2016 academic period, the Department of Health Management has also started undergraduate education. Our Department of Health Management has also started offering master's education within the 2022-2023 academic year. Our faculty also embodies the Departments of Midwifery and Exercise and Sports Sciences. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics admitted its first students in the 2022-2023 academic year. Besides, the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation started admitting undergraduate students in the 2023-2024 academic period.

The pandemic period we are experiencing worldwide due to the coronavirus has once again highlighted the importance of Health Sciences. Therefore, our greatest wish is to train and integrate you, the young people studying in the field of Health Sciences, into society in the most equipped manner possible. For this purpose, we also attach great importance to university-student-family interaction. The harmonious unity of this trio will ensure that you, the young people whom we will entrust with our future, become both scientifically and characteristically good individuals.
