Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) hosted a delegation from the University of Exact and Social Sciences in Uzbekistan. The delegation held meetings with the KTÜ Rector to enhance inter-university collaboration. The visit took place as part of a cooperation agreement signed on September 28, 2024.

The discussions included Yovkochev Shahzod, Vice Rector of the University of Exact and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Artikov Muzaffar, and Computer Science student Ismoilov Sirojiddin. Representing KTÜ were Prof. Dr. Ümit Alver, General Coordinator of International Relations, Internationalization Coordinators Dr. Ulaş Kutsi Çezik and Dr. Yücel Bulut. KTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı expressed their eagerness to engage in joint projects with Uzbekistan.

The delegation also met with KTÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Tezel to explore collaboration opportunities in areas such as academic and student exchange programs, joint publications, and dual-degree programs.

On December 10, as part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Artikov Muzaffar delivered a lecture in the Mehmet Yazıcı Auditorium on the sociological perspectives of Bukhari and Alisher Navoi. Following the lecture, the delegation was hosted by the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Attila Doğan, and Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Abdülkadir Topal. The delegation also visited the General Directorate of International Relations to discuss the scope of future collaborations.

The delegation toured Trabzon city center and Ayasofya Mosque. Throughout the program, Dr. Ulaş Kutsi Çezik and Dr. Yücel Bulut accompanied the guests.
