The Faculty of Letters at Karadeniz Technical University commenced its activities following the decision to separate the Faculty of Science and Letters into the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Letters, published in the Official Gazette dated April 28, 2010, and numbered 27565. Within the Faculty of Letters, there are a total of 8 departments, including History, Turkish Language and Literature, Western Languages and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Sociology, Art History, Psychology, and Archaeology. However, as of now, the departments of Art History and Psychology have not yet started their educational activities.
