Departments of our Faculty "Maritime Transportation Management Engineering", "Department of Marine Engineering Operations" and "Fisheries Technology Engineering Department", in order to monitor and evaluate the institutions providing maritime education affiliated to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) with the method of quality standards, "Affiliated to the Higher Education Board", which was made by the Higher Education Board and the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. It is periodically audited by the Monitoring and Evaluation Committee established within the scope of the Protocol for the Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation of Maritime Training Institutions within the Scope of the STCW (Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping) Convention Requirements and is certified according to the relevant parts of the STCW contract. Maritime Transportation Management Engineering Department has also been accredited (ISO 9001) by RINA, an international rating agency.
