As Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, we continue to support our graduate students in gaining international academic experiences and expanding their scientific research networks globally. In this context, a warm farewell event was held in our department on September 25, 2026, for our master's students Berra Turan and Ömer Faruk Öztürk, who will be going to Spain through the Erasmus+ mobility program.

Within the scope of their international research activities, our student Berra Turan will continue her studies at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS), while Ömer Faruk Öztürk will conduct his research at the Institute of Natural Resources and Agrobiology of Seville, Spanish National Research Council (IRNAS-CSIC).

This farewell and motivation gathering, which ensures our students begin their study abroad processes with high motivation, strengthens intra-departmental solidarity, and encourages our other students to participate in international exchange programs, directly contributes to our university's strategic indicator of "The number of events organized for the professional and personal development of your students."

We wish success in their Erasmus processes and scientific studies to our esteemed students, who we believe will successfully represent our department and university at internationally respected research institutes. We also thank all our academic and administrative staff who participated in our event and shared our students' excitement.
