KTU DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) aims to provide a theoretical and practical educational experience enriched with an interdisciplinary perspective in accordance with national and international standards. The department was established in the autumn semester of 2011-2012 academic year and provides formal education at undergraduate level. The language of the programme is Turkish.

KTU Department of Psychology is located in Karadeniz Technical University Kanuni Campus, within the Faculty of Letters. The academic staff consists of one Professor, one Associate Professor, two Assistant Professors, two Lecturers, and five research assistants. Undergraduate courses will be taught by academics specialised in related fields (Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Applied Psychology).

Lectures such as Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Learning Psychology, Contemporary Psychology Currents, Development and Learning, Planning and Evaluation in Instruction, Human Relations and Communication, Technology Addiction are given by the faculty members of our department in undergraduate and graduate programmes of our university. 

In our department, thirty (30) students will be admitted to the undergraduate program for the first time in the fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
