experimental psychology

Experimental psychology is a branch of psychology that studies human behaviour and mental processes by scientific methods. This department conducts various experiments to understand and explain psychological phenomena, using research methods such as experimental design, data collection and statistical analysis. Experimental psychologists often try to understand cause-effect relationships based on data obtained through observation and measurement.

The research topics of this department can cover a very wide range. For example, many topics such as memory, attention, learning, mood, motivation, perception, language, problem solving are analysed by experimental psychologists.

In the Department of Experimental Psychology, there is one Associate Professor and one PhD. Lecturer. Our lecturers who continue their studies in this field are actively working on topics such as memory and memory errors, cognitive styles, cognitive psychology in climate change, eating behaviour, meat consumption habits of consumers and their attitudes and behaviours towards vegan and vegetarian plant-based products that are alternatives to meat products, appetite and obesity.
