In 2025, our University collaborated with local, regional, and national non-governmental organisations, professional bodies, and voluntary organisations in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, technology, gender equality, disaster awareness, employment, and social development in order to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Within our University’s institutional sustainability approach, cooperation with NGOs also contributes to the localisation of the SDGs in areas such as the environment, education, gender equality, disaster management, and public health.
Cooperation for the Economic and Social Empowerment of Women
In 2025, our University signed an inter-institutional cooperation protocol within the scope of the “Women’s Contribution to Agriculture Project” with the Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB Trabzon Women Entrepreneurs Board, Trabzon University, Trabzon Bar Association, Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Health, and the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency.
This partnership supports women’s participation in production, entrepreneurship, and economic life and is therefore directly related in particular to SDG 5 – Gender Equality, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.

NGO Cooperation in Technology and Innovation
Through its cooperation with the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), our University supports students in developing scientific, technological, and innovative projects, participating in competitions, and improving their entrepreneurship skills.
This cooperation contributes particularly to SDG 4, SDG 8, and SDG 9 by supporting the development of qualified human resources, technology-based entrepreneurship, and the innovation ecosystem.

Education and Experience Sharing with Professional Organisations
In 2025, cooperation was carried out between our University and the TMMOB Trabzon Provincial Coordination Board to promote engineering departments and share professional experience.
In addition, a cooperation protocol was signed between our University’s Faculty of Engineering and the Trabzon Technology Association. These partnerships are related to SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, and SDG 17, as they support students’ professional development, strengthen university–society interaction, and facilitate the sharing of technical knowledge.

Joint Project and Network Development with NGOs
Our University’s Technology Transfer Application and Research Center also develops strategic collaborations with public institutions, the business community, technology transfer organisations, and NGOs, and supports joint project development, consortium building, and participation in research and innovation networks.
This structure enables cooperation with NGOs to go beyond one-off activities and develop into sustainable and institutional partnerships.

These activities demonstrate that, in 2025, our University did not limit its relationships with NGOs to event-based cooperation, but instead developed sustainable and institutional partnerships through joint protocols, training activities, social responsibility initiatives, entrepreneurship programmes, professional development activities, and joint project-development mechanisms.
These partnerships directly contribute to several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4, SDG 5, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 17.
