To protect the physical and mental well-being of its students and staff, KTU actively provides primary healthcare services. The Medico-Social Center, operating within the university, serves as the first point of application for students, academic, and administrative personnel to meet their basic healthcare needs. Services are carried out under the coverage of the Social Security Institution (SGK) as regulated by Law No. 5510. The International Health Tourism Unit at Farabi Hospital was inaugurated on February 9, 2024. As a pioneering institution in health tourism developments in Trabzon, Farabi Hospital serves patients not only from the Black Sea region and across Turkey but also from 124 countries including Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Saudi Arabia.
