Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), based on the principle of equal opportunity, has developed comprehensive support mechanisms to ensure the full participation of both students and administrative staff in education, work, and campus life. Within this framework, the university implements holistic policies for individuals with disabilities and disadvantaged groups under the Directive of the Unit for Disadvantaged Groups, the Directive on Housing Allocation and Management, and the Scholarship and Aid Directive.
To safeguard the right to accommodation for students with disabilities, priority placement, accessible rooms, and dormitory opportunities are provided; for administrative staff, equitable regulations in housing allocation are applied. Furthermore, under the Scholarship Directive, financial support is offered to disadvantaged students to facilitate their education processes and sustain their academic success.
Thanks to this holistic approach, both students and staff gain fairer, more accessible, and inclusive opportunities in campus life. In this way, KTU makes tangible contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: Reduced Inequalities.
