Employment policy modern slavery

Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) upholds the principle of respecting and protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of all employees as a priority. The university guarantees the rights of all academic and administrative staff, including women and international employees.

KTU strictly prohibits workplace discrimination on the basis of religion, language, race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, or political opinion. In line with its commitment to an equitable and inclusive work environment, the university ensures equal access to opportunities for all employees.

Furthermore, KTU adopts a zero-tolerance stance against all forms of human rights violations, including forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labor, within the framework of national and international regulations. To this end, the university implements necessary safeguards, along with regular monitoring and evaluation processes, to protect and improve employee rights.

By operating in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye and international conventions to which Türkiye is a party, KTU applies transparent, fair, and accountable policies to guarantee employee rights.
