Our University, in accordance with the public personnel and higher education legislation of the Republic of Türkiye, ensures that the salaries of academic and administrative staff are determined on the basis of objective, standardised, and non-discriminatory criteria. Employees’ salaries are determined by taking into account factors such as employment category, position/title, grade and step, educational background, seniority, and other applicable financial entitlements; gender is not used as a criterion in determining pay.
Every employee who begins working at our University is entitled to the salary and financial benefits stipulated in the relevant legislation or employment contract, and payments are made regularly on a monthly basis. Factors such as seniority, promotion, additional teaching duties, and overtime are also reflected in salary calculations in accordance with the applicable legislation. In this way, a standardised remuneration system is applied to employees with the same status, title, grade, and comparable working conditions.
The salaries and financial rights of academic and administrative staff are regulated primarily under Civil Servants Law No. 657, Decree-Law No. 375, and Higher Education Personnel Law No. 2914. This legislation-based remuneration system provides the main institutional framework for preventing individual or gender-based differences in pay and for safeguarding the principle of equality in remuneration.
