Energy efficiency services for industry

In December 2024, a delegation led by KTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah Çuvalcı visited the Kalyon PV Solar Panel Manufacturing Facility in Ankara Polatlı to explore potential collaboration opportunities. During the visit, both sides discussed university–industry cooperation models and examined the advanced production processes of solar panels on site.

The meeting focused on developing joint R&D projects in sustainable energy, particularly in the field of innovative photovoltaic cell technologies. As a result of the discussions, KTU and Kalyon PV expressed a shared intention to collaborate on:

  • the development of high-efficiency solar technologies,
  • internship and project opportunities for students, and
  • the establishment of joint research and development centers.

Rector Çuvalcı emphasized that partnerships between universities and industry not only advance academic and technological innovation but also contribute to shaping the future of the renewable energy sector. This initiative represents a strong example of KTU’s engagement with the private sector and highlights the university’s vision to take a leading role in clean-energy innovation.
