Karadeniz Technical University has replaced most of its conventional devices with high energy-efficiency models to enhance energy performance across its campuses.

According to 2024 data, 93% of the 274,829 devices used at the university fall under the energy-efficient category. These include:

• LED lighting systems and motion-sensor lamps,
• A++ rated air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines,
• Energy Star–certified computers, monitors, and projectors.

Through this transition, KTÜ reduces energy consumption and carbon emissions, while strengthening sustainability awareness across the entire campus.
