Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) provides effective primary health care services to protect the physical and mental well-being of its students and staff. The Medico-Social Center serves as the first point of contact for meeting the basic health needs of students, academic, and administrative personnel.
Services offered at this center are covered under the Social Security Institution (SGK) within the scope of Law No. 5510 on Social Insurance and General Health Insurance. When necessary, referrals to advanced examination and treatment services at other health institutions are provided. More information here.
The KTU Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit aims to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students and staff, helping them cope with the challenges they face. The unit provides protective, preventive, and, when necessary, intervention-based psychological support services. In 2024, services were provided to 202 students.
