In 2025, our University organised numerous activities to share its academic and technical expertise on energy efficiency, renewable energy, low-carbon technologies, and clean energy with stakeholders beyond the University.
One of the strongest examples in 2025 was the Grand Black Sea Forum, held on 10–12 December 2025. The Forum brought together academics, students, entrepreneurs, representatives of the business community, and public institutions, with “Low-Carbon and Clean Energy Solutions” identified as one of its core themes. Through seminars, panels, thematic workshops, one-to-one meetings, and project competitions, clean energy technologies and practices were shared with a broad audience. The event was free of charge and open to participants from across the region.

As part of the Forum, a knowledge- and experience-sharing session entitled “Best Practices in Blue Economy, Climate Change and Clean Energy” was also held on 12 December 2025. Representatives from KTÜ, the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency, the Trabzon Commodity Exchange, and the private sector shared good practices and experiences relating to clean energy and sustainability.
In addition, the 8th Energy Day, held on 6 May 2025, brought participants together with leading representatives of the energy sector to discuss renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and the impact of digitalisation on the energy sector.
The University’s 2025 SDG 7 Sustainability Report also provides a comprehensive record of KTÜ’s activities in clean-energy education, awareness raising, technology development, and multi-stakeholder knowledge exchange. For example, the report specifically documents the clean-energy knowledge- and experience-sharing activity held on 12 December 2025.
