Maternity policies

Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) has established comprehensive Maternity Policies to safeguard maternal health, support work–life balance, and promote gender equality among employees. These policies guarantee maternity leave, job protection, health and safety measures, and access to flexible working arrangements during pregnancy and the postnatal period.

The policy ensures non-discrimination in recruitment, promotion, and employment practices; it also encourages breastfeeding-friendly facilities and reasonable accommodations in the workplace. KTU fosters an inclusive culture that respects family responsibilities and supports employees’ well-being.

Through these measures, KTU advances SDG 5 – Gender Equality and SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth by protecting parental rights and strengthening social sustainability.
