Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) actively promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through its Technopark (Trabzon Teknokent), where numerous startups founded or co.founded by university researchers and academicians focus on sustainability.related fields such as Energy and Climate Change (EC), Waste (WR), Water (WS), Transportation (TR), Education (ED), and Setting and Infrastructure (SI) in line with the UI GreenMetric framework. As of 2022.2024, 25 sustainability.related startups have been established within Trabzon Technopark. These companies operate in diverse domains, including green technologies, water and waste management, engineering services, educational technologies, digital transformation, and environmental software development.
