Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) has established a Policy for Women Applications and Entry to strengthen gender equality and support the full participation of women in higher education. The policy ensures that all admission, recruitment, and participation processes are free from discrimination and promote equal access to academic and professional opportunities.

It outlines measures to encourage women’s enrollment in science, technology, engineering, and management programs, while also supporting the creation of a safe and inclusive university environment. The policy mandates transparent selection procedures and awareness initiatives that empower women to pursue higher education and leadership roles.

Through this framework, KTU advances SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 5 – Gender Equality by promoting women’s access, representation, and inclusion in all areas of academic life.
