Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) carries out comprehensive efforts to promote sustainable transportation and reduce its environmental impact. By actively utilizing staff shuttle services, the university supports public transportation, decreases individual car use, and helps reduce on-campus traffic density.
In addition, KTU has established charging stations for electric vehicles, strengthening its low-carbon transportation infrastructure across the campus. These initiatives make environmentally friendly transport alternatives accessible for both staff and visitors, directly contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.
Coordinated by the Department of Construction Works, KTU’s sustainable transportation policies aim to enhance environmental awareness and facilitate campus mobility.
