Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) is located on a spacious and green campus that lies close to the city center of Trabzon, surrounded by the region’s natural beauty. Overlooking the Black Sea, the main campus offers a peaceful, safe, and inspiring environment with its clean air, rich vegetation, and scenic landscape.
The KTÜ campus is a fully equipped living and learning space, featuring academic buildings, research centers, libraries, social facilities, sports areas, and walking paths. Its close proximity to the city center and main transportation routes ensures excellent accessibility, allowing students to enjoy both a vibrant urban connection and a tranquil, nature-integrated university experience.
Karadeniz Technical University Kanuni Campus is located in the city center of Trabzon, in northern Türkiye. It is an integrated campus close to the urban fabric. The northern side of the campus borders the Black Sea. The airport is located on the eastern side.
The campus is surrounded by urban development and its outer perimeter is a continuation of the city fabric. Trabzon province has an area of 4,662 km² and a population of 822,270. Considering the city's population and area scale, the campus is not so much a “large part of the urban area” as it is an important institutional area located between central city districts. The campus area, as an element of the urban fabric, has a balanced distribution of both open/green spaces and building density.
