"Increasing the Capacity of Undergraduate Students to Prepare Scientific Research Projects-2" within the scope of TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Programme event will be held between 19-20-21 February 2025.

PURPOSE

The Scientific Training Event Support aims to improve the R&D project writing and execution skills of undergraduate students studying in social, science, engineering and health fields at our universities.

SCOPE

Within the scope of the event, theoretical and group work will be carried out with the participation of 24 undergraduate students divided into 4 groups in the fields of social, science, engineering and health. Basic concepts related to the project, selection and determination of the research topic, ways of collecting information about the research, planning of the research (original value, method, project management, project management, widespread impact, abstract, budget) and the introduction of the programmes that undergraduate students can apply for (TÜBİTAK 2209 programmes etc.) will be explained to the participants.

CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. Participants must be registered in TÜBİTAK ARBIS database,

2. Participants must be undergraduate students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year in one of the science, engineering, health, and social fields,

3. Undergraduate grade point average above 2.00,

4. Participants must have participated in previous 2237-A events up to 4 times, participants who have not participated in 2237-A events before will be given priority,

5. Participants must not have been dismissed from the profession, public office or the organisation of the relevant institutions directly or within the framework of the procedures stipulated in the aforementioned Decree Laws, which were put into force within the scope of the State of Emergency,

6. Participants must be participating in the event with a project idea,

7. According to the application rates, it will be ensured that the distribution of women and men is proportional,

8. Since it is planned to receive an equal number of participants from different disciplines, admission to the event will not be done in order of application. In case there are not enough applications from each of the social, science, engineering and health fields, the shortages will be met from other fields.

PARTICIPATION

  • Participation in the event is limited to quota.
  • Application must be made and the application must be accepted before participating in the event.
  • The event will continue for 3 days and participation is 100% compulsory.
  • Participants will be given a certificate of participation at the end of the programme.
  • The event is free of charge and the travel, subsistence and accommodation expenses of the participants from outside Trabzon and the subsistence expenses of the participants from Trabzon will be covered from the project budget within the limits of TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support ‘Support Amount and Payment Conditions’.
  • Participants are required to attend the meeting with their personal computers and project ideas.
