Training for Project Preperation for TÜBİTAK 1505 ? UNIVERSITY INDUSTRY COLLABORATION SUPPORT PROGRAM

 

‘Training For Project Preperation for TÜBİTAK 1505 – University Industry Collaboration Support Program’ will be held between 9-11 September 2024, within the scope of TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2237-A Grant Program for Scientific Training.

The application process is open until 31 July 2024, and the program will continue to accept registrations for enthusiasts till deadline.

Aim

Scientific Education Event Support aims to increase the capacity of participants to develop university-industry cooperation and apply to national funding sources such as TÜBİTAK 1505 University-Industry Collaboration.

Scope

The training event includes information and practical activities for researchers about university-industry cooperation processes and TÜBİTAK 1505 University-Industry Cooperation support program. Basic project concepts that participants need to know before preparing a project, the importance of university-industry cooperation, contractual R&D processes, technology development zone, R&D/Design Center assignment process, publicly supported university-industry cooperation processes, R&D and innovation to be carried out. The concept of Technology Readiness Levels (THS), which is an index that measures the level of technological maturity used in processes, will be explained.

The application system will be examined practically by providing general information about the general features of the Support Program, its scope, budget, application conditions, reading the call guide and evaluation criteria. TÜBİTAK 1505 University Industry Collaboration Support Program application forms and project proposal drafts will be prepared both theoretically and practically.

Additionally, an "Experience sharing panel" will be organized within the scope of university-industry cooperation, in which researchers with experience in carrying out projects will participate. During this panel, experiences will be shared regarding the issues that researchers should pay attention to during the application and execution phase and the processes they may encounter in this process.

Conditions Required for Participants

Participants will be selected among researchers who have received their doctoral qualifications and are studying domestically, and a total of 24 participants are planned to benefit from the Scientific Education Activities Support Program. The criteria established to determine the participants are as follows.

1. Participants must be registered in the TÜBİTAK ARBİS database,

2. Participants must be researchers with doctoral degrees in science, engineering and health fields,

3. Participants must have attended the previously held 2237-A events a maximum of 4 times, and priority will be given to participants who have not participated in the 2237-A event before.

4. Priority will be given to participants who currently cooperate with companies or provide consultancy services to the company.

5. Participants attend the event with a project idea. Priority will be given to participants who have previously applied for a project for university-industry collaboration and have been rejected or are in the preparation phase.

6.A balanced distribution of the status of the participants will be ensured.

7.According to the application rates, the distribution of men and women will be proportionate.

7. Participants must not have been dismissed from the profession, public office or the organization of relevant institutions, directly or within the framework of the procedures stipulated in the said Decree Laws, by the Decree Laws enacted within the scope of the State of Emergency.

Event Venue

All theoretical and practical training will be held in the training halls of KTU Technology Transfer Application and Research Center located on Karadeniz Technical University Kanuni Campus.

Participation

1.Participation in the event is limited to quota.

2. An application must be made and accepted before attending the event.

3. The event will continue for 3 days and participation is 100% mandatory for each day.

4. Participants will be given a certificate of participation at the end of the program.

5. The event is free of charge, and the travel, subsistence and accommodation expenses of the participants from outside Trabzon and the subsistence expenses of the participants from Trabzon will be covered from the project budget within the limits of 'TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support "Support Amount and Payment Conditions".

6. Participants will be informed about the event via e-mail before the event.

7. Application results will be notified in writing to the e-mail addresses specified during the application phase after July 31, 2024.
