Dear colleagues and scholars,
We are writing to you with heavy hearts following the devastating earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and nearby cities. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives, including our esteemed academic colleagues. We also extend our sympathies to those who are injured or have lost their homes.
In light of this tragedy, we have decided to reschedule the 9th International KTUDELL Conference on Language, Literature, and Translation from May 2023 to 25-26 September 2023. The conference will take place in Trabzon, TÜRKİYE, after allowing sufficient time for recovery and rebuilding efforts.
We believe that scholarly gatherings can offer unique opportunities for sharing ideas, collaborating on research, and learning from one another. Despite the difficulties we are facing, we are committed to moving forward with this event and bringing together scholars from around the world to explore innovative solutions to the multitude of issues facing our field.
The conference will include presentations and discussions on a wide range of topics, including language teaching and learning, literary studies, translation theory and practice, linguistics, and cultural studies. We welcome presentations in English, Turkish, and Russian.
All papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN number, and a selected number of full papers will be published in hard copy by Karadeniz Technical University Publication. Further details on the full paper format will be announced in the near future.
We wish to make the conference accessible to as many participants as possible, and we offer the option to attend in person or virtually, depending on your preference. We hope you will join us for this exciting event and contribute to the lively and engaging discussions that will take place.
Best regards,
Organizing Committee
