TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Project Granted to Prof. Dr. Fatma TELLİ KARAKOÇ
Representing our university as the project lead, Prof. Dr. Fatma TELLİ KARAKOÇ will investigate underwater noise pollution—an emerging concern in marine ecosystems—by measuring and modelling ambient noise levels across various coastal environments in the Eastern Black Sea region. The study aims to contribute to a better understanding of human-induced underwater acoustic disturbances and their potential impacts on marine biodiversity.
The project is supported under TÜBİTAK’s 1002-A Rapid Support Module, which funds short-term and urgent scientific research initiatives.
We congratulate Prof. Dr. Fatma TELLİ KARAKOÇ and the project team on this achievement and wish them continued success in their valuable research.
