IASON+ Project Findings Presented at the 7th National Marine Sciences Conference

Members of the IASON+ Project team recently participated in the 7th National Marine Sciences Conference, held in İzmir from May 13–15, 2026. The conference served as a key platform for presenting the latest advancements in the monitoring and management of aquatic invasive alien species (IAS) within the Black Sea Basin.
Representing the Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) team, our researchers showcased findings from the ongoing monitoring efforts in the Kızılırmak Delta Protected Area. The presentation highlighted the project’s integrated approach, which combines advanced predictive modeling, remote sensing, and field surveillance to track the distribution and ecological impact of invasive species.
