Karadeniz Technical University meets all the treatment expenses of those who are in need and who don’t have any health insurance. In case of emergency, all students, regardless of their origin, are treated in the Health Centre on the campus. For more serious cases, the Farabi Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine is also nearby on the campus. There are also a variety of hospitals and private clinics in the city. To benefit from these health services, all foreign exchange students and visitors are strongly advised to have a valid international health insurance before coming to Türkiye. They can also obtain health insurance for a certain period of time from many insurance agencies in Türkiye, after entering the country. A comprehensive insurance costs about 60-80€.
