Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) was represented by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Ali Temiz and Prof. Dr. Omer Faruk Ursavas, alongside the General Coordinator for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Sercan Erol at the NAFSA 2026 Expo held between May 26–29, 2026 in Orlando USA, which featured 89 universities from Türkiye. During the NAFSA expo which is recognized among the world's leading higher education and internationalization events, the KTU delegation held meetings with representatives from numerous universities and institutions across different continents. During the engagements, topics such as scientific research collaborations, student and academic staff mobility, dual-degree programs, joint laboratory studies, Erasmus+, and international project partnerships were addressed.

As a result of the meetings held at the event, it was stated that KTU's international cooperation network in North America, Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Latin America has been further strengthened. Particularly, the new contacts established in the Asia-Pacific region are expected to offer significant opportunities for joint research and innovation-oriented studies. Karadeniz Technical University continues its efforts to expand its international academic network, increase its global visibility, and strengthen its scientific collaborations in line with its research university vision.

Visit to the KTU Stand by the Consul General in Miami

During NAFSA 2026, the KTU stand was also visited by Resul Sahinol, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Miami. As KTU Office of International Relations, we would like to thank him for his kind visit.
