From the Institute Director;

In line with the general mission undertaken by Karadeniz Technical University, in the light of universal science, the Social Sciences Institute contributes to the training of qualified researchers, experts and faculty members needed at the global level by increasing the quality of postgraduate education in all its departments.

Our institute provides academic staff who will educate tomorrow's university students with the academic formation they need on the universal basis of knowledge, in national and international fields; It has been carrying out its activities for 40 years with the philosophy of providing its researchers with the spirit and qualifications that a scientist should have.

KTU - Institute of Social Sciences, 16 departments, 11 of which are doctorate, 24 of which are master's degree with thesis, 4 of which are distance education master's degree without thesis, 1 of which is master's degree without thesis, and 2 of which are II. It continues to provide education with a total of 42 postgraduate programs, including non-thesis master's degrees.

Our goal in the new period is to increase the quality of existing graduate programs, in line with the lifelong learning approach we adopt; Our aim is to open new programs that will be needed on an individual, social and global scale in the light of the developments in science and technology, thus providing postgraduate education opportunities to a greater number of individuals.

As the Institute, we will strive to be a respected organization that acts with a more transparent, participatory and student-centered learning approach and stands out in these aspects, in order to raise our flag higher in line with both the responsibilities imposed by the law and social expectations.
