Three Innovative Papers from KTU TTC to the 17th International Technology Transfer Conference!

KTU Technology Transfer Application and Research Center successfully presented three important papers including the strategies and policies of Technology Transfer Centers to the academic world within the scope of internationalization, intellectual and industrial property rights and university-industry cooperation at the International ITTC (International Technology Transfer Conference) 2024 conference based in Slovenia. KTU Technology Transfer Center attracted attention with papers focusing on the systematic interaction between academicians, inventors, entrepreneurs and industrialists with the activities they carried out as an interface using appropriate instruments in the academic world.

Articles prepared by our center in the field of technology transfer and industrial property,

"The Importance of Technology Transfer Offices in University Industry Collaboration: KTU TTC Example": With this paper, the role and importance of technology transfer offices in university-industry cooperation was investigated using qualitative analysis methods. The research results have determined that KTU TTC plays an important role in increasing the success of industry-industry collaboration processes by using the potential of the university, and that it provides significant contributions to university-industry collaboration processes with the strong sense of trust it has developed on both the university and industry sides.

"The Impact of International Networks on Grants, R&D, Knowledge and Technology Transfer – Case of COST Network and KTU": This paper examines the effects of international networks on grants, R&D and technology transfer, especially in the context of the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Program. The research emphasizes the importance of participation in academic networks in sustainable knowledge and technology transfer, and discusses the strategies for KTU TTC to be included in international consortia developed for KTU.

"The Effect of Evaluating Graduate Thesis Topics as Invention Notification Form on Industrial and Intellectual Property Applications: The Case of Karadeniz Technical University": This paper investigates the evaluation of theses of master's and doctoral students at universities as invention notification forms without notification and the demonstration of patent potential by including them in the patent ecosystem. The report also provides a strategic vision for the transformation of theses into industry-focused, invention-oriented instruments with high commercialization potential.

The dynamics that Karadeniz Technical University has activated in the ecosystem through its Technology Transfer Center and its contributions to the conference once again demonstrated its determination in the field of research and innovation. Academicians and professionals who attended the conference appreciated the innovative approach of university technology transfer center structures.
