IASON+ Project 2025 Spring Fieldwork Successfully Consucted in Kızılırmak Delta

From May 29 to 31, 2025, the IASON+ Project carried out its spring fieldwork in the Kızılırmak Delta. The primary objective of this fieldwork was to monitor Invasive Alien Species (IAS) and assess their impacts on ecosystem services within the region. The study aims to identify distribution patterns of selected IAS and evaluate their ecological influences.
This fieldwork is part of a two-year initiative under the IASON+ framework, designed to provide long-term insights into the dynamics of IAS in the delta.
The research team included Prof. Dr. Fatma Telli Karakoç, Prof. Dr. Coşkun Erüz, Prof. Dr. Ali Muzaffer Feyzioğlu, Prof. Dr. Hacer Sağlam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rafet Çağrı Öztürk, Dr. Ahmet Şahin, Dr. İlknur Yıldız, master student Melike Tüysüz, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Aydın from Ordu University Fatsa Faculty of Fisheries.
