INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS

1. Students who have applied for and completed their internship must pay attention to information such as signature, date, name and surname while preparing their documents. During the pandemic period, our students should attach the internship security declaration form to their application documents so that they can do their internship.

2. All required documents are given as a link in the internship process step. Internship application and internship termination processes are made through BYS.

3. Students who have completed their internship are required to upload their internship results files to BYS. Internship notebook and questionnaires should be included in the result file. Internship workplace representatives will evaluate the student with the password sent to them. It is the student's duty to declare this information to the internship workplace representative.

4. After the result file is uploaded to BYS in PDF format, it will be examined and, if found appropriate, an interview date and time will be determined for the student. Interview dates and times are announced on the department website. Internship interviews are conducted face to face.

 

INTERNSHIP PROCESS STEPS

1. The student finds the institution where he/she will do his/her internship.

2. Internship application documents are uploaded to the system via BYS. Internship application documents must be uploaded to the system at the latest 30 days before the internship start date. You can access the Internship Management System Student Guide via the link https://ktu.edu.tr/dosyalar/sks_29cec.pdf.

3. Internship application documents are listed below. "Internship Accepted" in the internship status section on the BYS system. After the statement appears, the internship can be started. In case of a problem in the transactions, the necessary information is included in the commission explanation section of the BYS system. After the application is made, the statement "Processed" should appear in the BYS. If there is a "Preparing" statement in the BYS after the application is made, the application must be withdrawn and the application must be made again. Scan your application documents in pdf format and upload all documents to the system in a single .rar file. Check the application documents and upload them to the system, the responsibility in this regard belongs to the student.

4. Information on internship insurance entry can be obtained via e-devlet.

5. Internship notebook should be written in computer environment. Internship book (word version) + Internship Registry Slips are located under the heading 'Other Supplementary Documents'. Internship notebooks should be written on the basis of the graduation thesis writing guide. The daily work should be explained theoretically and the students should comment on the learned systems.

6. Internship questionnaires are available on the department web page. One of the questionnaires should be filled by the trainee student and the other by the internship workplace representative. Those whose questionnaires are missing cannot submit the internship book.

7. Do your internship.

8. Complete and sign your internship book. In the weekly work schedule part of the internship book, there must be a signature and seal or stamp; Incomplete notebooks will not be accepted.

9. Upload your internship book, 2 questionnaires and your internship registration slip (2 pages) to the internship termination section via BYS.

 

INTERNSHIP PROCESS

  1. Karadeniz Technical University Engineering Faculty Internship Directive has been prepared in order to regulate the internship principles for KTU Engineering Faculty students. The directive consists of two parts. The first part contains the general articles foreseen for all sections, and the second part contains the special issues related to the sections.
  2. Internship students will be insured by our university against work accidents and occupational diseases. In order for the insurance to be made, the application documents must be filled and uploaded to the Internship Management System at BYS at least 30 days before the start of the internship.
  3. After completing their internship, students should upload the "Workplace Representative's Intern Student Evaluation Questionnaire", which includes the signature and stamp of the workplace representative, together with their internship notebooks.
