In our department's Atomic Physics and Nuclear Physics Research Laboratory, scientific and technological research is conducted in the fields of spectroscopy and radiation-matter interaction with a wide range of detector infrastructure.
Research in the field of nuclear technology is being conducted using the experimental setup consisting of current HPGe Semiconductor (Ortec), Si(Li), and Ge(Li) Semiconductor (Canberra, PGT) detectors. This includes measurements of radioactivity in materials, measurements of natural radioactivity concentrations, and determination of absorption coefficients for shielding studies against radiation and gamma rays.
Equipment Used
HPGe Semiconductor Detector (Ortec)
Si(Li) and Ge(Li) Semiconductor Detectors (Canberra, PGT)
In our department's Environmental Radiation Laboratory, environmental radiation analyses of soil, water, and organic materials are conducted using facilities that include sample preparation and storage areas, along with high-resolution gamma detectors.
Equipment Used
Gamma Detector (Ortec)
In our department's Spectroscopy Laboratory, an XRF Spectrometer (Skyray) system is available, enabling elemental analysis studies on various samples (minerals, liquids, sediments, etc.).
