DOUBLE MAJOR AND MINOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND GENETICS
In accordance with Article 13 of the Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Regulation Governing Associate and Bachelor's Degree Education and the directive for the KTU Double Major and Minor Programs, the departments from which students will be accepted and the courses to be taken for the 'Double Major' and 'Minor' Bachelor's Programs in the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department are specified below.

Double Major Undergraduate Program: In accordance with the letter by the Higher Education Board's dated 20.02.2018 with reference number 75850160-104.01.01.01-E.9895, for students enrolled in the double major program, the determination of field courses is based on the competencies in the double major program, considering the ECTS credits, including the total ECTS credits of joint courses (such as general culture, etc.) accepted for both programs, to be 240 for each program. Therefore, students must achieve 240 ECTS credits as indicated in the current course schedule of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics to successfully complete the double major program, including joint courses.
It is required to take at least 21 credits in the Minor Program.
A maximum of 2 (two) elective courses can be selected from the departmental elective courses in the departmental course plan.
