PROCEDURES OF THE GRADUATION PROJECT

 

  • The Graduation Project course is selected along with other courses to be taken in that semester during the dates specified for “Course Registration and Renewal” for the Spring semester in the Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) Academic Calendar.
  • Students registered in the Graduation Project course fill out the 'Graduation Project Application Form,' which they obtain on the Department's website. They then get the form signed first by their advisor overseeing the Graduation Project and subsequently by the Department Chair. The form must be submitted to the Department Secretary by the deadline specified in the 'KTU Academic Calendar' for the 'Application Date to Departments for the Graduation Project Topic in the Spring Semester.'
  • The Department Chair announces the names of students registered in the Graduation Project, along with their thesis topics, thesis advisors, and thesis committees, after finalizing the list in accordance with the Semester Calendar of the Graduation Project.
  • The topic of the Graduation Project is prepared for a Thesis in accordance with the rules of the KTU Graduate School of Applied and Natural Sciences Thesis Writing Manual (https://www.ktu.edu.tr/dosyalar/fbe_fe8c3.pdf) and the Sample Thesis Format.
  • Three printed copies of the Graduation Project and the 'Thesis Preliminary Submission Form' must be submitted to the Department Secretary by the date specified in the Semester Calendar of the Graduation Project.
  • The presentation of the Graduation Project is conducted at the end of the semester, on the dates announced in the Semester Calendar of the Graduation Project, either as a Poster Presentation or an Oral Presentation.
  • Students who are deemed successful in the evaluation conducted by the jury at the end of the Graduation Project presentation complete any necessary revisions within 5 working days after the presentation. They then submit one printed and bound copy of the Graduation Project, prepared in accordance with writing rules, along with a CD containing the thesis in PDF format, to the Department Secretary, along with the 'Final Submission Form for Graduation Project.
