  • Farabi Exchange Program Partners: Fırat University, Suleyman Demirel University, Gazi University, Sakarya University.

Practice-Oriented Curriculum: Our department, distinct from other civil engineering departments in engineering faculties, aims to enhance students' practical skills and knowledge. While maintaining a curriculum equivalent to other engineering departments in theoretical courses, we emphasize practical skills and knowledge through mandatory internships totaling 60 days during at least two summer periods and a 14-week workplace training (in the 7th semester).

Despite differences with the curricula of civil engineering departments in engineering faculties, the Inter-University Council (ÜAK) decided on June 27, 2014, that the titles of graduates from our faculty are equivalent to those from engineering faculties. The Higher Education Executive Board's subsequent decision on July 9, 2014, with number 4407, eliminated discrepancies regarding equivalency. Therefore, our graduates have the same rights, privileges, and qualifications as other engineering graduates. Additionally, civil engineers from our faculty can become members of the Chamber of Civil Engineers (İMO) affiliated with the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB).

The postgraduate (Master’s and Doctoral) education for graduates of our faculty’s engineering departments is organized similarly to that in engineering faculties.

Student Advising: According to our undergraduate education regulations, all students are assigned an advisor from the academic staff. These advisors assist students in administrative tasks such as determining course schedules and tracking academic progress, as well as other issues they may encounter. The advisor’s role continues until the student graduates.

Scholarship Services: To support financially needy students, our university provides meal and cash scholarships within the scope of social aid. Additionally, the Student Affairs Department handles the processes for loans and scholarships offered annually by the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories Agency and the Prime Ministry.
