Basic Electricity Laboratory

Important Points About Basic Electrical Laboratory Operation

  • Laboratory attendance requirement is 80% . Those who do not participate in 20% of the experiments will fail due to absenteeism and cannot take the final exam.
  • It will be very convenient for you to keep the "Experiment Sheet" printouts regarding the experiment with you during the experiment.
  • Before coming to the experiment, theoretical preparations for the experiment should be made meticulously and the experiment sheet should be read carefully.
  • The experiment supervisor checks whether the students are ready by taking a short written or oral exam. This exam constitutes 25% of the weekly test grade.
  • Every student in the group will actively participate in the experiment and take part in the connection and measurement processes. Students' experimental performances will constitute 25% of their weekly experiment grades .
  • At the end of the experiment, everyone must prepare an individual “Experiment Report” and this report must be submitted online by the beginning of the next experiment. Reports not submitted within the specified time are not accepted and the Test Report grade (zero) is given as '0'. The test report constitutes 50% of the weekly test score.
  • "Experiment Report" is a document and should be prepared carefully. Experiment report; Introduction of the experiment, theoretical preliminary information and calculations, execution of the experiment, measurement results obtained in the experiment, a general result evaluation and, if requested by the experiment supervisor; The experiments carried out are Proteus, Multisim, Eagle etc. It should include simulations and results made in any of the circuit drawing programs, comparison of simulation, measurement and theoretical results.
  • The midterm exam grade will be calculated by taking the average of the weekly test scores obtained from the results of the exams taken during the experiment, test performances and test report notes. The final exam will be in written form.
  • Reports regarding the experiment must be submitted via "Google Classroom".
