Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI Emphasized Production

Addressing the participants in the discussion program, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI emphasized the importance of "Domestic and National Production" by saying, "As a country, we had an aircraft factory 100 years ago. So, 100 years ago, we took the necessary steps in the Aviation Industry. What happened then? The Republic of Türkiye experienced the dark years of the 70s, when there were conflicts. In 1974, during the period when the operation in Cyprus was to be carried out, we couldn't produce F-104 tires, and America wouldn't give us aircraft tires. Why? They were saying to us, that we could not fight because they did not like our coutry. He added that ' Dear young people, I would like to express this clearly; 'Domestic and National Production' is not only an economic choice but also a national stance. Türkiye's years of conflict are behind us. We are now at a point where we produce BAYRAKTARs and KAANs. Is it enough? Never. We will produce more, we will work harder at these times to produce more."
